APPENDIX-I - INTELLIGENCE AND PERSONALITY TEST - Overview
SSB procedure: two-stage selection process (Stage I and Stage II). Only candidates who clear Stage I appear for Stage II.
Stage I: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT). Shortlisting based on combined performance.
Stage II: Interview, Group Testing Officer (GTO) tasks, Psychology tests and the Conference (conducted over 4 days).
Personality assessed by Interviewing Officer (IO), Group Testing Officer (GTO) and Psychologist; marks are allotted holistically with no separate weightage for each test.
Conference marks allotted based on initial performance and Board decision. Outcome: Recommended or Not Recommended.
